'Fallout 4' release news: New perks system is virtually limitless

Bethesda has served up new information regarding the all new perk system coming to "Fallout 4." During a chat with IGN, the developer revealed that the game is virtually limitless when it comes to what players can do and equip their characters with.

The game studio stated that gamers will be able to choose at the beginning of the game the special abilities their characters will possess. As they progress, they will be eligible to perks, which are offered for each level-up. There is no cap on how many perks a gamer can get, which means that playing long enough would provide them all perks available.

But Gamingbolt warns that it takes picking the right perk at the right level and time to eventually build a character that's exceptionally strong and smart at the same time. This means that although every perk will be on offer as the level goes higher, players need to be careful on which ones they choose.

According to IB Times, there will be over 200 perks and specials to snag in "Fallout 4." The developers at the game studio, however, did not say anything about the possibility of locking out potential development paths.

This new perk system makes for a promising, much more personal "Fallout 4," according to Softpedia. This is because players themselves can construct builds that will separate them from the rest while allowing them, in a way, to customize their character until it becomes what they think their character should be like. Bethesda also squeezed in new options that will facilitate the best building experience.

Boasting new and improved core mechanics, the post-apocalyptic role-playing video game is set in Boston. There will be a "really huge" world to explore, which will take around 400 hours to fully comb.

"Fallout 4" will be released for the Xbox One, PS4 and PC on Nov. 10.
