The CBS science fiction drama series "Extant" is coming to a close and this week, the finale two episodes will see Molly (Halle Berry) in her race against time to save the human race.

In episode 12 titled "Double Vision," Hollywood Hills reports that Molly will uncover the disturbing details of Toby (David Morrissey) in the hands of the Global Space Commission (GSC). Last episode, Fiona (Kate Burton) sentenced him for aiding a known enemy after he helped Molly escape from the lab. The last time the viewers saw him was when the Humanichs arrested him. It turned out he was killed, and Molly has now found out how he died.

Lucy (Kiersey Clemons), the new head of security in GSC, will make a daring move against the humans and the hybrids. The Humanich is determined to wipe out the two races in a single, brilliant strategy, but she will soon find out that this will cause devastating global repercussions.

Meanwhile, in episode 13 titled "The Greater Good," Molly and JD (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) will realize that the only way to stop the Humanichs is to tap on the hybrids. With the clock ticking before Lucy launches her attack, the two will then make haste to find the hybrids that can save the human population across the world.

While her plans are in motion, however, Lucy will discover something about the company that she is serving. She will learn of a shocking truth about GSC that will force her to reevaluate her allegiance. Her indecisiveness, however, will put Ethan (Pierce Gagnon) in peril. Will Lucy finally realized how GSC has been using her?

Last episode, Molly and JD finally traced John's (Goran Visnjic) colleague Nicolas Calderon (Keith David) who knew important information on how to stop the Humanichs. Calderon worked with Molly's deceased husband in building the TAALR to support their Humanich project in terms of funding.

When the technology started having a mind of its own, Calderon wanted to shut it down. Before he could do so, however, the TAALR got the better of him and framed him for a crime he did not commit. It was also he who told Molly that the only way to stop the Humanichs was through the amulet that she has been dreaming about for some time now.

In the end, Calderon decided to give them the amulet, sacrificing himself to the GSC while Molly and the rest escaped yet again.

"Extant" season finale airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. EST on CBS.
