Duggar family news: Josh with Grindr app image was photoshopped

A recent report from People confirmed that Josh Duggar is not going to appear on "Jill and Jessa: Counting On," the spin-off series of "19 Kids and Counting." Amid this, an image of him using Grindr became viral all over the internet.

The image in question showcases Josh holding up a phone with the Grindr app open. Grindr is known as a dating app for gay and lesbians and it was presumed this meant Josh was going to confess his true sexuality. This would go against all of Josh's previous publicity work where he has shown to be strongly against homosexuality.

The image was first released by The Hollywood Gossip via social media such as Facebook, although their initial report no longer contains the image.

However, a report from Inquisitr has followed up on the image and after some digging, it was revealed that it was indeed a fake image, a Photoshop-edited picture that has been circling the Internet since 2013. The original, unedited photo was reportedly uploaded on the Duggar Family Blog shortly before the edited photo started going about.

Inquisitr reveals the original photo was part of Josh's 25th birthday celebration. The photo was that of a war memorial and not for a homosexual dating app, concluding that the viral image is not only fake but also quite old as it has been around for at least three years and counting.

All of this continues to prove that Josh is indeed lying low from the public eye for the mean time, with no intention to appear on any reality show or at a main event, allowing his siblings to take care of the family's financial needs as he waits for the attention and negative backlash for his actions to simmer down.

Does the Church of England need to re-think its messaging?

If you look at the Church of England’s communications all that it ever seems to highlight is the good works that Christians do to improve the temporal well-being of their neighbours. It is right to highlight these things, but they are not the primary reason for the Church’s existence.
