"Dragon Quest" fans now have more reason to be happy with the news that the game's spin-off "Dragon Quest Heroes: The World Tree's Woe and the Blight Below" is now available on PlayStation 4 (PS4).

PlayStation Blog made the release announcement last Tuesday. Along with it, PlayStation also launched a new trailer for the game, which runs for less than two minutes showcasing what players will deal with during the game.

"Dragon Quest Heroes" is an role-playing game that lets players control different heroes appearing in various "Dragon Quest" series as they face challenges just to save the Kingdom of Arba from the antagonist Velasco and a curse that was bestowed upon the monsters that once coexisted with people.

"The World Tree's Woe and the Blight Below," a joint project of Square Enix and Omega Force, was released back in February 2015 in Japan, Taiwan, and Hong Kong for PS3 and has now made its way to the North American markets.

The arrival of "Dragon Quest Heroes" to PS4 is not the only good news. Apparently, PlayStation Blog also announced that every weekend until Jan. 31 next year, Square Enix will be holding special events for the gamers.

The events should grant players special buffs and stuff for a more exciting game experience.

As stated in the announcement, players can get bonus EXP campaign, which means that players will have a 20 percent increase in the EXP earned during the game.

A rare item campaign gives players double the chance of stumbling upon rare stuff. Bonus gold campaign will grant players a 20 percent increase in the amount of gold earned while playing the game.

It was also noted in fine print that players should be connected online and be registered under a valid PlayStation Network (PSN) account to enjoy the weekend events.

The full details on the schedule of the weekend events can be found on PlayStation Blog.
