'Dragon Ball Xenoverse' updates: Teaser video released, title to come out in February 2015

Bandai Namco Games recently teased gamers who are anxiously waiting for the official advent of "Dragon Ball Xenoverse." The 30-second footage from the publisher of the video game, rendered in beautifully unspoiled graphics, shows all the goodies "Dragon Ball" fans will enjoy next year. Characters in action are present and are featured in quick succession.

Siliconera says that the bad guys from "Dragon Ball Z: Battle of the Gods," namely Beerus and Whis, will join the roster in the upcoming game, particularly in the Time Patrol Quest story mode. According to the same site, the main adversaries of the game will come in the form of Towa and Mira.

Furthermore, Youth Health Mag revealed that the first copies to be released on Feb. 5 next year in Japan will include a download code that will activate Jaco the Galactic Patrolman, Akira Toriyama's manga character, as a playable character. The site also reports that a download code for a customizable Master Roshi is up for grabs as well as a Trunks: Xeno battle card for the "Dragon Ball Heroes" game, topped with a serial code that will allow Trunks: Xeno to be usable in the "Dragon Ball Z Dokkan Battle" smartphone game.

In the official Facebook page for "Dragon Ball Xenoverse," it was revealed that a roster consisting of 126 characters will be playable, including Goku, Trunks, Gohan and all their forms. The assemblage expectedly includes Piccolo, Krillin, Tien Shinhan and Yamcha, among others. And obviously, there will also be Vegeta, which has a DLC per-order exclusive. Siliconera reveals that, at some point of the game, players will come face to face with Great Ape Vegeta in one of the giant boss battles.

"Dragon Ball Xenoverse" will be available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One and Xbox 360.  "Dragon Ball" fans in Japan can get their hands on the game by Feb. 5, 2015. It will then hit shelves in North America by Feb. 13 and Europe will see it in the flesh by Feb. 17. It will also be released on PC, and Bandai Namco Games detailed the game's requirements.
