It's over. Merged Zamasu is finally gone and the person who defeated him in episode 66 of "Dragon Ball Super" wasn't even Son Goku. That would have been predictable. Future Trunks somehow learned to use his ki on his broken sword. He even managed to gather a Spirit Bomb and absorb the energy from everyone so he could power up his blade. Now that Merged Zamasu has been defeated once and for all, what's going to happen next?

Titled "Fill Your Heart With New Hope!!! Farewell, Trunks," "Dragon Ball Super" episode 67 will reportedly show viewers that Merged Zamasu wasn't killed after all. Some sources say he just lost his physical body, and he's now stronger than ever. It should be noted that everything appears to be back to normal in the preview trailer. Did Merged Zamasu really survive? Was the preview a misdirection?

Some fans still believe that Future Trunks is going to sacrifice himself to beat Merged Zamasu. Well, the way episode 66 ended was a bit anticlimactic, so it's quite understandable that some viewers may want to see more.

Meanwhile, Goku will allegedly ask for Omni-King Zeno's help to repair the damage done by Zamasu and Black Goku, but the Omni-King will only grant him his wish if Universe 7 wins the Omniverse Tournament. Well, the king of the 12 Universes did appear in the trailer, but what is he doing there? Is he there to announce an Omniverse Tournament?

One thing is clear; the Future Trunks Saga will be ending soon. Well, a lot of longtime "Dragon Ball" fans did not exactly like the way they used Deus ex Machina to resolve the conflict. Revising the rules of the Potara earrings is also something that has annoyed viewers. The story arc may not be perfect, but at least it managed to entice some longtime fans to watch "Dragon Ball Super."

Will Merged Zamasu return, or is "Farewell, Trunks" a happy parting of ways for the heroes? Find out when "Dragon Ball Super" episode 67 airs on Nov. 20, at 9 a.m. JST on Fuji TV.
