'Diablo 3' patch 2.3 news: New items coming in update

"Diablo 3" is getting set to welcome an influx of new gear as patch 2.3 will reportedly be bringing in some useful items for players.

There will be three new sets coming to the game.

The first of the new sets is Seeker of the Light for the Crusader class. This set will grant a one second cooldown reduction for both the Falling Sword and Provoke skills each time a player is able to land the Blessed Hammer on a foe. It also allows players to take 50 percent less damage for a total of eight seconds if they are able to connect with Falling Sword, according to Gamespot.

Next up is Uliana's Stratagem for the Monk class. This new set really helps to improve the Monk's Seven-Sided Strike. For one, the Seven-Sided Strike will now inflict its total damage with every hit, and on top of that, the usage of this skill will also lead to the activation of the player's Exploding Palm.

Last up is the Spirit of Arachyr set for the Witch Doctor class. Arguably, the most significant addition coming via this set is the enhancement it makes to the Witch Doctor's creature skills as they will now be increased by 800 percent. The set also enables Witch Doctors to summon a permanent Spider Queen onto the battlefield.

Aside from bringing in new gear, patch 2.3 for "Diablo 3" will also be updating two older sets already in the game, according to PC Gamer.

The two sets to be upgraded will be Vyr's Amazing Arcana for the Wizard class and the Helltooth Harness for Witch Doctor users, which makes patch 2.3 clearly helpful to those who already have or are planning to make characters in that latter class.

Patch 2.3 for "Diablo 3" will also introduce Kanai's Cube, an item created in memory of Kevin Kanai Griffith, a former member of the team behind the game who died last year.

Blizzard has yet to announce when patch 2.3 will be released.
