'Destiny Expansion II: House of Wolves' release date next month: Ways to prepare for DLC

"Destiny Expansion II: House of Wolves" is just weeks away from release, as the announced official launch is May 19. Before then, players need to be prepared in order to fully exploit the changes and new features that will come with the new expansion.

Level up weapons

One of the changes that the upcoming DLC will bring is the upgrade threshold for Legendary and Exotic weapons, which will be increased through a new upgrade level called Ascend. Guardians will be able to upgrade weapons through a new item called Etheric Light. For those who want to further increase their weapons' damage levels, having them maxed out is one key step in further levelling up once the new DLC arrives.

Get to level 32

One of the key points for the "House of Wolves" DLC is that the level cap for players will increase from 32 to 34, and before the roll out on May 19, players need to reach level 32 so that it would be much easier and quicker to reach the next two higher levels. Players are advised to upgrade weapons and armors, and stock up on materials needed. They also need to finish missions and collect bounties in order to reach the highest cap.

Raid

Even if the new "House of Wolves" expansion will not come out with a new raid, it pays to learn how to organize a fire team and polish teamwork via raids. Also, finishing raids secure players with numerous loot and great rewards.

Check commendations

Under the new expansion, commendations will be phased out completely. However, the excess commendations can still be of use — they can be traded for points to raise reputation levels. Having commendations at hand can give players the needed boost to raise their rankings within the factions scattered throughout the game.
