"Dance Moms" executive producer Bryan Stinson has confirmed that the show will have an eighth season.
Stinson made the announcement on a Twitter post. His post diffused the rumors that the show is ending. Speculation strengthened when the show's dancers and their mothers began posting sad messages on social media that implied that the seventh season is the last one for "Dance Moms."

— Bryan Stinson (@BryanStinson) April 16, 2017 " data-caption="null" data-credit="null">Rumors that "Dance Moms" will end began when Abby Lee Miller, who was the dancers' mentor and coach, as well as the owner of the Abby Lee Dance Company, resigned from the show. Her role as coach was then filled by Cheryl Burke of "Dancing with the Stars." It is still unclear if she will continue to serve this function in the eighth season of "Dance Moms." It is also not clear if the show will continue with the same format, or even the same studio, in its new episodes.
Meanwhile, Miller recently broke down prior to her sleeve gastrectomy on Friday. According to ET, the dance coach said, "There's nobody freaking out if something happens to me." It is unclear if her operation was the reason for her non-appearance at a scheduled event, angering fans because her cancellation happened 30 minutes before the activity was set to begin.
She is said to have pitched a spin-off show on another network, which will feature the Mini Competition Team, which is also from the Abby Lee Dance Company.
She recently attacked former Abby Lee Dance Company students Kalani Hilliker, Nia Sioux, Kendall Vertes, and Camryn Bridges for leaving the studio for Count 8 Dance Academy. The girls allegedly left Miller's fold after she left the team for three weeks.
Miller is currently waiting for her sentence for bankruptcy fraud. Although she pleaded guilty to the case, the courts have not yet ruled whether she will need to spend time in jail. The hearing is scheduled for May 8. She faces up to 30 months in prison.
