Conservative Christian blogger offers to adopt unborn child of Jewish woman planning to get an abortion

Christian blogger Matt Barber leaves a message to a woman who wants to get an abortion: 'The little child that grows inside of you is a very real, very precious little person, no different than you or I.' Pixabay

Christian blogger Matt Barber, who has repeatedly voiced out against abortion, is going to pull out all the stops just to get a woman to cancel her planned abortion.

Barber writes on his blog that he only chanced upon the tweet made by a woman Queline (short for Jacqueline) recently. "I will terminate a pregnancy soon. These things aren't fun or easy," the woman wrote.

Barber was moved by the Holy Spirit to intervene, so he tweeted back to the woman, "Please don't kill your baby. It won't provide freedom."

He was surprised when she answered back and explained her reason to get an abortion. "We can't afford a baby, that's that, there are no other options unless you want to kick in 50K. Not entertaining this further," she said.

Right then, Barber knew what he had to do. He shared the story to his wife Sarah and told her, "A life is at stake here. This is life or death playing out on social media. What should we do?"

She did not hesitate at the thought of welcoming a baby into their home. Barber told Queline that they would adopt her baby and cover all necessary medical expenses.

However, Queline has not yet replied to Barber and he is asking Christians to pray in a "last-ditch effort to reach out to a cherished young Jewish woman in New York City".

He even left her a message of love and support on his blog. "To Queline, I say this: You may find it hard to believe, dear lady, but, though we don't know you, Sarah and I already love you – as does our Heavenly Father, Yahweh, and His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ," he writes.

"I know that, as you stated, one of your primary concerns is the financial burden that necessarily attends motherhood," he adds. "But you needn't worry about finances. We will gladly cover you financially through every step of this potential journey and beyond. By God's grace, we have the means. You may find it difficult to believe, but I'd give up everything I own that your baby might live. In fact, with and through the power of the Holy Spirit, I'd like to believe that, if faced with an either-or choice, I'd even give up my own life."
