Christian Aid to Benefit from Internet Service Provider Surefish

Christian Aid will benefit from charity Internet Service Provider Surefish as they raise funds for the charity through a new range of broadband internet services.

For the past six years, Surefish has raised more than £500,000 for Christian Aid's work in developing countries and to help it continue the fight against global poverty.

The ISP hopes to raise the amount each year by encouraging thousands of the 12 million broadband users in the UK to switch to Surefish.

Switching from broadband to Surefish is free, and unlike most other providers, a twelve-month contract is not required. The new services include fast internet access via broadband from £22.50 a month - around 25 per cent of which goes to Christian Aid - a free email address and web-space to publish personal websites.

Andy Jackson, the editor of Surefish, said: "The beauty of broadband compared to dial up internet access is that Christian Aid can generate money for its work in pounds rather than pence. Every person who switches or signs up to one of our broadband packages can give up to £8 per month to Christian Aid, which is included in the monthly broadband charges. You can surf the Internet and help poor communities at the same time."

In addition, Surefish has an ethical living section offering advice and information on ethical shopping, banking, health and beauty, travel, utilities, home and garden.
