Grammy Award-winning Christian singer Chris Tomlin is going to release a children's picture book this coming October called "Good Good Father," which is based on his same-titled song that won the K-LOVE Song of the Year award.

The book will go on sale on Oct. 4, according to The Christian Post. It was co-written by Pat Barrett, while the beautiful illustrations were done by Tommy Nelson and Passion Publishing. The book hopes to introduce kids to God and encourage them to nurture personal relationships with their Heavenly Father.

"What an exciting journey to write my first children's book," Tomlin said in a statement. "Being a dad makes this so special. It's my prayer that 'Good Good Father' helps children understand the amazing reality that we can call God our Father, that we are His beloved sons and daughters. It's a simple yet powerful story — one that has been kid-tested in my own home and a joy to watch my girls experience."

"Good Good Father" follows the story of a bear named Tucker whose life is forever changed after learning of the King's great love for him. Throughout his journey, Tucker will meet several funny animals who each has its own story about the King. Though they all know the King is good, their knowledge of the King is limited. But in the end, Tucker will realise just how deep God's love for him is, and what makes him truly good.

"Just as they make worship so accessible, Chris and Pat help little ones experience and understand the overwhelming love of God," says Laura Minchew, senior vice president and publisher of Gift Books, Children's Books and New Media at Thomas Nelson. "Children have so many thoughts about what God is like. This endearing, yet profound book helps children (and adults) see that God is a teacher, a warrior, a doctor, a provider, a musician, and so much more because first of all He is truly a good, good Father."
