Jack (Dylan Neal) will quickly find that Olivia's (Andie McDowell) newfound friendship may pose a threat in their rocky relationship in the upcoming episode of Hallmark Channel's drama series "Cedar Cove."

In "Guess Who's Coming to Dinner," TV Guide reports that the newspaper editor sees foreboding with the blossoming connection between the judge and the new district attorney. The previous episodes saw the two trying to salvage what used to be a smooth-sailing affair. Olivia's refusal to move in with Jack did not rest well with him and they got into an ugly fight. The arrival of the dashing Paul Watson (Colin Ferguson) who showed obvious interest in the lady added to his burden. Is Jack just imagining things about the two or he really has reasons to be jealous?

In an interview with zap2it, Ferguson admitted that Jack and the viewers were not wrong in seeing a possible love triangle. He said that Paul's job in the show was to "turn the screw and to make them question if it's worth it."

"It's sort of like the road not taken. I think it's not uncommon in any relationship — if you're going through really tough times and you have a friend that you get along with really well, you might start going, 'Wow, maybe the easier path is the way to go.' So we explore that for a while," said Paul in the interview.

The actor also shared that what he liked about his role was that he was made a "viable" love interest for the judge. He credited executive producer Sue Tenney for giving him such an interesting character.

"What I like about how they wrote it is they didn't make me really lascivious or really mustache-twirling or anything like that, where you go, 'Obviously, she's not going to take him, he's awful.'"

Meanwhile, also in episode 4, Olivia will not see eye-to-eye with Will (Cameron Bancroft) over some real-estate issue. Her best friend Grace (Teryl Rothery) will be pressured to make a decision. Will it concern her growing doubts over her relationship with Cliff (Sebastian Spence) and her perpetual attraction to Olivia's brother?

Find out on Saturday at 8 p.m. EST on Hallmark Channel.
