Carrie Underwood sends hand-written notes, necklaces to 11 American Idol hopefuls

Carrie Underwood sends personalized necklaces and hand-written notes to American Idol's top 11 contestants.

Christian country singer Carrie Underwood got a jumpstart to her singing career after winning the fourth season of American Idol, so if anyone can attest to the highs and lows felt by the contestants of the show, then it's Underwood herself.

Despite having her hands full after giving birth to her first son Isaiah Michael, Underwood revealed her thoughtfulness by sending 11 personalised silver necklaces from Tiffany and Co. to the top 11 contestants of the show's current season, and she sent each gift with a hand-written note. She had each contestant's initial engraved on to the pendants, which cost around $300 each.

The recipients of Underwood's gifts could not help but gush about the generous new gifts on their social media accounts, and called the "Little Toy Guns" singer an "angel," Unreality TV shares.

"Is this real life? I'm shaking right now. Thank you so much @carrieunderwood. You are an angel," JAX wrote on her Twitter page.

Tyanna Jones also posted on her Twitter account: "Had one of the best days ever! Got fan mail and something from @carrieunderwood ahhh!"

Adanna Duru expressed her excitement by using all caps to type her message: "THANKS @CARRIEUNDERWOOD FOR THE @TIFFANYANDCO NECKLACE AND BLESSINGS."

Meanwhile, Daniel Seavey said, "Thank you so much @carrieunderwood!!! Made my day!!!"

For Maddie Walker, receiving the gift from her own idol is indeed an unforgettable experience. She tweeted, "Thank you so much! @carrieunderwood for the wonderful gift! I have looked up to you for so long! It means the world!"

Clark Beckham shared a photo of himself with fellow contestants Jones and Rayven Owen wearing their new necklaces as he thanked Underwood, adding that they are "freaking out" over their gifts.

For his part, Owen said, "Thanks @carrieunderwood for this awesome gift. I think I'll wear it at the show tonight for some good vibes."
