The Brooklyn Nets may have been struggling this season but last Tuesday recorded their first back-to-back topping the Phoenix Suns at the Barclays Center, 94–91.

Brooklyn's win over the Suns completed a successful two game home stand for the team as it also defeated the Detroit Pistons last Sunday (87–83).

Franchise center Brook Lopez led the offense for the Nets scoring 23 points that came along with six rebounds, two assists, and one block.

Assisting Lopez in scoring were point guards Shane Larkin and Jarrett Jack, and guard Wayne Ellington who each had 11 points.

The win still places the Nets on the second to the last spot in the Eastern Conference with a 5–13 record as they will also have a tough schedule ahead.

Brooklyn will be back in action on Friday taking the New York Knicks on the road before heading back home to the Barclays Center for a six-game home stand.

The first game of the home stand is against the defending National Basketball Association (NBA) champions Golden State Warriors this Sunday. This will be followed by the Houston Rockets (Tuesday), Philadelphia 76ers (Thursday), Los Angeles Clippers (Saturday), Orlando Magic (Monday), and the Miami Heat (Wednesday).

In a report by the Associated Press, Larkin spoke about their upcoming schedule and stated, "Win a bunch of those games, just keep playing hard, take it one game at a time and just see what we can do."

The Nets have won three of their last five games and are hoping the recent success will continue since they had a bad start to the 2015–16 regular season.

Since the franchise moved to Brooklyn before the 2012–13 season, the Nets have made it to the playoffs in the past three seasons but are always eliminated in the first round.

Meanwhile, following the loss to the Nets last Tuesday, the Suns were again defeated Wednesday by the Detroit Pistons which gave them an 8–11 record and placed them out of the top eight in the Western Conference.
