Amir Khan vs Manny Pacquiao fight 2015 rumors: Possible according to Top Rank's Bob Arum

Top contenders Amir Khan and Manny Pacquiao were denied a fight against Floyd Mayweather Jr., although both can face one another, according to the former eight-division champion's promoter Top Rank's Bob Arum.

According to a report by The Telegraph, Arum is set to have talks with Khan's side in London during the weekend for a possible fight.

"This kid Amir Khan keeps shooting his mouth off about Manny Pacquiao. I can arrange for Khan to fight Pacquiao. Amir Khan has been begging Mayweather for a fight and now he can get a major fight. I'm not a hard guy to deal with. I'm not going to mess them around," Arum said, according to the report.

Khan has been linked to fighting Mayweather for a number of times now; but he is getting turned down every time.

The British boxer recently spoke about a possible fight against Pacquiao, although he said the Filipino slugger should man up if he wants a fight to happen.

Meanwhile, Pacquiao is doing good recovering from the shoulder surgery he went through five days after his bout against Mayweather last May.

The 36-year-old boxing star recently said one of his major plans for the future is to have a rematch against Mayweather.

But Mayweather already said days after their fight that he will not grant Pacquiao a rematch since he is a sore loser, using his shoulder injury as an excuse for the defeat.

Arum confirmed that Pacquiao will not be fighting again this year but he will do so early in 2016, either in the Middle East or in Las Vegas.

He added that Pacquiao is not "ducking" Khan and is ready to fight him but he is not sure if Khan is willing to fight Pacquiao, although he said that the fight is available.

Pacquiao and Khan are former sparring and stablemates under trainer Freddie Roach.
