'Bones' season 11 spoilers: Jeffersonian plays host to agents from 'Sleepy Hollow' in episode 5

Booth and Brennan meet Abbie and Ichabod in the upcoming episode of "Bones." Facebook/Fox

Abbie Mills (Nicole Beharie) and Ichabod Crane (Tom Mison) will pay the agents of the Jeffersonian a visit in the upcoming episode of the long-running Fox series "Bones."

In "The Resurrection in the Remains," Cartermatt reports that the viewers will finally see the much awaited crossover between the "Bones" and Sleepy Hollow." It is Halloween. Brennan (Emily Deschanel) and the team will not be spared from investigating another lost soul. This time, though, they will be joined by two operatives from the not-so-quiet town. Partners Abbie and Ichabod will go to the Jeffersonian to claim a headless body.

The synopsis reveals that the agents from the two "departments" must work together to piece together a puzzling case. A 200-year-old corpse with its head missing has a connection with a recent murder victim. They must figure out how the two cases are linked before they can proceed with their respective investigations. Will Brennan and the rest of the Jeffersonian team be able to forget Ichabod's old fashioned coat and focus on the probe?

Booth (David Boreanaz) certainly cannot get over the weirdness of it all. He, along with the gang, thinks that the "Sleepy Hollow" people's arrival is some sort of an elaborate Halloween costume party. The promo released by Fox shows the FBI agent's dumbfounded reaction to Ichabod's peculiar ways. It is not until Brennan and Abbie's partner got trapped that things started to get real to him. Will they be able to successfully get them out before it is too late?

Last episode, a body was found in the woods by a fashion-forward teen and his dad who were out to hunt. Justin Ross was a real estate agent whose only vice was becoming too addicted to competitive fantasy football league. At first, they all thought that the killer was league member Craig Smith (Paul Johansson) who had some scores to settle with the victim. Ross had been helping Smith get his house out of foreclosure. He missed an important meeting, however, and it turned out that he did it because he had been sleeping with his wife.

Upon investigation of the murder weapon, however, the team figured out that the league commissioner was angry at Ross for agreeing to give Smith Aaron Rodgers as quarterback. Entertainment Weekly reports that when he confronted Ross, the victim threatened to oust him. That was when he snapped and stabbed him using a sandwich meat holder, then dumped the body in the woods.

"Bones" season 11 airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. EST on Fox.
