Out with the old and in with the new.

As New Orleans prepares to say goodbye to resident power couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie who recently put a $6.5 million price tag on their house, the city is gearing up to welcome another famous couple into their fold.

According to a report by E! Online, superstars Jay Z and Beyonce are planning to move in to town with the purchase of the old Westminster Presbyterian Church that was converted into a luxurious mansion in the 90s.

The couple reportedly purchased the Spanish Baroque property, named La Casa de Castile at a price of $2.6 million.

The 13,292 square foot property, located at the elite Garden District, boasts of a 26 foot high ceiling, massive arched windows and three separate apartments.

The three story mansion has a total of 22 rooms including seven bedrooms, and eight bathrooms.

The master suite showcases a space rich in detail, a sophisticated chandelier and an antique claw foot bathtub.

The home has an open concept design and features a rooftop deck touted as the largest residential green roof in New Orleans, with a great view of the city.

Aside from the luxurious highlights, the property has a rich history. It was a house of worship until the 1920s, before becoming the home of Ballet Hysell, operated by legendary dance instructor Maestro Harvey Hysell, who used two of the apartments for himself and used the main church area as his dance studio.

Based on the property listing, the property underwent massive renovation when it was purchased by Sandra Castille McNamara and was finally used as a residential space in 2000.

"In 1999, we purchased the building and began a massive renovation to make it our home, including replacing all its electrical, heating/cooling and plumbing systems. We added new structures, relocated the elevator shaft, closed in the front yard and added an amazing living green roof – currently the largest in New Orleans," McNamara said.
