Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner to spend Christmas together with their children, says report

It has been six months since Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner announced that they were separating after 13 years of marriage.

Since the split, the two have remained amicable and it was reported that they wanted to co-parent their children and they have been seen together with their children on more than one occasion.

Now, a new report claims that the former couple will be spending Christmas together with their children as a family and that they have agreed to spend the holiday together to ensure that their children Violet, 10, Seraphina, 6 and Samuel, 3, will continue to have good childhood memories.

A source told Us Weekly that the family will spend the holiday at Yellowstone Club in Big Sky, Montana.

"Christmas morning they will all be together to open presents," said the insider to the website. "Ben and Jen want every Christmas to be a time of joy and family. They want their kids' childhood memories to still be good."

Last Thanksgiving, the two also reunited to celebrate the holiday with their children at their home in Pacific Palisades, Los Angeles. Since the split, Affleck is said to have been staying at a rental property nearby.

A source told People that "nothing has changed" since the split and that the two have been working on keeping their relationship amicable for their children and that they have chosen to remain friendly with each other.

"It's not just for the kids—it's also for them," said the source to People. "They care about each other."

It was rumored that Affleck's alleged affair with the family's former nanny, Christine Ouzounian, was one of the reasons for the split. Other issues that reportedly caused the split were the actor's gambling and drinking habits.

Another source told Us Weekly that Affleck and Garner's holiday plans are strictly for the children and not for anything else.

"Ben and Jen are together only for the kids, not romantically," said the source.
