'Batman: The TellTale Series' news: First screenshots dropped and cast announced at E3

Batman: The TellTale Series TellTale Games

The very first set of screenshots for "Batman: The TellTale Series" were unveiled during the E3. The images showcase the Wayne Manor, the Batmobile, Bruce Wayne aka Batman, and Catwoman. As stated in a report from IGN, Bruce Wayne is pictured both in and out of costume as the game's story focuses on both aspects of his life.

Along with the photos, TellTale Games also announced on their official website the cast of voice actors working on the game.

Troy Baker has been cast as the voice of Bruce Wayne aka Batman, Travis Willingham as Harvey Dent, Laura Bailey as Selena Kyle aka Catwoman, Erin Yvette as Vicki Vale, Richard McGonagle as crime lord Carmine Falcone, Enn Reitel as Alfred Pennyworth and Murphy Guyer as Jim Gordon.

It is notable that the credits list Gordon as a lieutenant and not as the Gotham City police commissioner. As stated in a report from Attack of the Fanboy, this indicates that the game's story is set during the Batman's early years in his crusade against crime. It may even end with Gordon getting a promotion and becoming the commissioner.

The report also points out Baker being cast as Batman given that he previously voiced the Joker for "Batman: Arkham Origins."

While the game's story is still a mystery, the clue from Gordon's position as lieutenant and the decision to split the story segments of Bruce Wayne during the day and Batman during the night indicate that the game will take cues from graphic novels such as "Batman: Year One."

According to the report, the game is also using a brand-new game engine. This new game engine is also speculated to be used on the recently unveiled "The Walking Dead: The Game Season 3."

"Batman: The TellTale Series" will be released for the PC, PS4 and Xbox One this fall.
