Photos from the set of "Avengers: Infinity War" in Edinburgh, Scotland surfaced on the worldwide web recently, and they tease a deeper romantic relationship between two key characters, Vision (Paul Bettany) and Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen), which also raised a bunch of questions among the fans.

Romantic tension between the two started building since Vision became a sentient being in "Avengers: Age of Ultron" back in 2015, and deepened in "Captain America: Civil War" last year. E! News has released the first look at Vision and Scarlet Witch's intimate scene in the upcoming "Avengers" film, wherein the two characters are seen kissing by the window.

An eyewitness told the publication that the actors filmed the scene about "eight or nine times." It started with Vision opening the window curtains with the use of his special powers, and Scarlet Witch appearing beside him a few moments later.

However, according to ComicBook, the kiss was not the most shocking element in the leaked photos. For some reason, Vision is missing his typical android features. In the photos, his skin is not red, he's missing the notable Infinity Stone on his forehead, and he looks just like a normal human being dressed in regular human clothing.

Does this mean Vision's powers have evolved and allowed him to change his appearance into a more human-looking one? Has he developed a new shape-shifting ability? Did geneticist Dr. Helen Cho, the one who created him, had something to do with this transformation? Or is it a simply dream sequence showing Vision and Scarlet Witch the very thing that they desire? The questions just go on and on.

What's more interesting, though, is that Vision seems to be able to retain his special abilities even in this "human" form.

"Avengers: Infinity War" will hit theaters on May 4, 2018.
