ASUS ZenFone 2 Deluxe release, specs news: white and purple color variants expected

At the recent ZenFestival event that took place in India, Taiwanese company ASUS unveiled its plans to release its new line up of mobile devices, including ZenFone Selfie, ZenFone Max, and ZenPad tablet devices.

Another device unveiled by the company is the ZenFone 2 Deluxe handset. Unlike the ZenFone Max, this phone is expected to be available in the market this month.

In terms of the specifications, the ZenFone 2 Deluxe is designed with a polygonal finish and comes with a quick charging technology called the ASUS BoostMaster. According to a press release, the phone can be charged up to 60 percent in just 39 minutes using the ASUS BootMaster.

The ZenFone 2 Deluxe sports a 5.5-inch display screen with a 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution, and protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It runs on the new Android Lollipop operating system (OS). The device also has 13-megapixel camera on the back and 5-megapixel camera on the front, according to according to GSM Arena.

Under the hood, the ZenFone 2 Deluxe packs either an Intel Atom Z3580 or Intel Atom Z3560 processor, a 4GB RAM, and either a 64GB or a massive 128GB built-in memory storage.

Also, the new ZenFone 2 Deluxe comes with a whopping 3,000 mAh battery. According to GSM Arena, the colors available for the new phone will be white and purple.

In comparison with ZenFone Max, the ZenFone 2 Deluxe was designed to "see the crystal miracle," according to a press release by ASUS, while the ZenFone Max was designed to "see for longer." Unlike the smartphones of today, the ZenFone Max packs a massive 5,000 mAh battery.

Other new products unveiled by ASUS are the ZenPad tablet and the ZenFone Laser 2. The ZenPad tablet is expected to be available in two different sizes, while the ZenFone Laser 2 is expected to be available in three different versions.
