A big chunk of the film features Aguilar's memories being relived through his ancestor Callum Lynch (Michael Fassbender), and the scenes will be filmed with Spanish dialogue. Meanwhile, the film features a roster of Academy Award winning actors.

"Assassin's Creed" revolves around Callum, who uses advanced technology to relive his ancestor's memories that will help him overthrow a powerful secret  organization.

The synopsis from the official movie website Assassin's Creed reads, "Through a revolutionary technology that unlocks his genetic memories, Callum Lynch experiences the adventures of his ancestor, Aguilar, in 15th century Spain. Callum discovers he is descended from a mysterious secret society, the Assassins, and amasses incredible knowledge and skills to take on the oppressive and powerful Templar organisation in the present day."

The film is directed by "Snowtown" director Justin Kurzel, and according to him, Aguilar's memories will be shown with  Spanish dialogue, IGN reports. But only a third of the movie will feature the past, and the rest will follow Lynch's modern day mission in Abstergo.

A recent poster released by 20th Century Fox and Ubisoft Motion Pictures depicts the assassins' wide range of weapons that they will use the film. Other than Lynch's hidden blades, there are guns, daggers, and crossbows that will make the fight more difficult for the assassins' enemies.

"Assassin's Creed" features two Academy Award category actors. Michael Fassbender — who plays Lynch — was nominated for Best Actor in "Steve Jobs" and Best Supporting Actor for "12 Years a Slave." Meanwhile, Marion Cotillard — who will play Sophia Rikkin — won as Best Actress for "La Vie en Rose" and was nominated for the same title for "Two Days, One Night."

It seems that the franchise will also become a hit movie series helmed by Kurzel and a cast of Academy Award category actors. Other cast members include Jeremy Irons as Alan Rikkin, Brendan Gleeson as Joseph Lynch, and Michael K. Williams as Baptiste.

"Assassin's Creed" hits theaters in the U.S. on Dec. 21, while it debuts on January 6, 2017 in the U.K.
