After the departure of John Diggle (David Ramsey) and Thea Queen (Willa Holland) from Team Arrow, Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) will have to look for new members of the team to help him fight the villains in "Arrow" season 5 episode 2.

Oliver initially had no plans to gather new members for the team, yet the arrival of new villains in Star City left him with no choice but to seek some help from other heroes.

The synopsis for the episode titled "The Recruits" posted by The Futon Critic revealed that the possible new members of Team Arrow will include Curtis (Echo Kellum), Wild Dog (Rick Gonzalez), and Evelyn Sharp (Madison McLaughlin). But it seems like not everyone is cut for the tasks at hand.

According to the synopsis, the training methods that Oliver will use to determine who among them could fill in the vacant roles for the team will be a little too much to handle. This means not everyone is made to join the team.

Meanwhile, executive producer Wendy Mericle told TV Guide that Diggle will remain affected by the events of season 4. According to Mericle, Diggle will still be burdened with guilt after killing his brother, Andy (Eugene Byrd). While he decided to rejoin the military to take his mind off his brother's death, this will not be enough to make him return to his usual jolly persona.

"How is he going to reconcile the fact that he's the man who killed his brother, but he's still a good man and a family man? He wants to go forward and do something good in the world, so how is he going to reconcile those two sides of himself?" Mericle said in the interview.

"Arrow" season 5 episode 2 is slated to air on Wednesday, Oct. 12, at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
