Arizona Cardinals vs Atlanta Falcons NFL football [preview]

The Arizona Cardinals will play the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday as the Cardinals look to get back to winning ways after falling to their second defeat of the season last week.

Today's game is one of two late afternoon starts, and is scheduled to begin at 4.05 p.m. EDT. The game will be broadcast on the Fox network but will also be available to watch online through live stream - free for subscribers via the link provided below.

The Cardinals were looking amazing, strolling along with win after win this season and at 9-1 they held the best record in the NFL. However, last week they came up against the defending Super Bowl champs, and alarm bells will have been rung about how badly they fell apart when facing top in form opposition.

The Cardinals were almost completely shut down, and could only manage a solitary field goal through all four quarters in their poor showing against the Seahawks. That 3-19 defeat will have been a big wake up call for Arizona, and they will understand there is still a lot of work to do in the coming month before the postseason begins if they are to gear up to become a team capable of going all the way and winning the top prize.

The Falcons have had a terrible season, coming into this game on 4-7. However, amazingly with such a poor record they are still top of the pathetic NFC South.

The Falcons are tied with the New Orleans Saints on 4-7, and they are both being pursued closely by the Carolina Panthers, who are 3-7-1. Extraordinarily, the 2-9 Tampa Bay Buccaneers still have a shot at winning the division title - if they can win the season out from here and the teams above them continue in their horrid form, then they could amazingly still steal top spot and the division title.

Today's game between the Cardinals and the Falcons will start at 4.05 p.m. EDT and can be watched online by clicking here.
