Andy Frost hits road again to explore why young people are leaving the church

Andy Frost and worship leader Dave Bilbrough are taking to the road again to get the UK church thinking about how to stem the large numbers of young people leaving the church.

The Rediscovering Faith book tour launched last October and two more dates have just been confirmed for Southampton and Oldham in March.

The leaders say that the British church must "wake up" and take radical action to respond to the numbers of young people who are abandoning the Christian faith.

The evenings will encompass music from Bilbrough's new album 'People of Promise' and honest chat from him and Andy as they explore some of the complicated questions about Christianity and their own faith journeys so far.

The tour follows the recent release of Andy's new book, Losing Faith. The book specifically focuses on people who have lost or have struggled with the Christian faith.

Pete Greig, of 24-7 Prayer and Alpha International, is encouraging people to read the book.

"I wish I’d had a book like Losing Faith when I lost mine at the age of 18," he said.

"Ironically, I think it might have helped me re-find a deeper faith sooner than I did.

"Andy Frost calls the church to care more about the back door than the front row and his book will, I hope, help us all to be better friends, especially when people are hurting and questioning."
