'American Horror Story' season 5 spoilers: cast includes Chloe Sevigny

Back in February, it was reported that singer Lady Gaga would be in the upcoming season of "American Horror Story." Newer reports from Latino Post and from the cast and crew indicate that season 5 of the anthology titled "American Horror Story: Hotel"  will see some shuffling in the cast.

Series creator Ryan Murphy announced via Twitter that season 2 alumna Chloe Sevigny would be returning for the fifth season as a series regular. There has been no official announcement regarding her role in "Hotel" but it is speculated to be more substantial, given her status now as a show regular.

On the other end of the spectrum, series veteran Jessica Lange confirmed on a PaleyFest panel that "Freak Show," season 4 of the series, would be her final run. She is not returning for "Hotel."

"Yes, I'm done," Lange told the crowd, "We've had a great run here. I have absolutely loved doing these four characters that I've had the opportunity to play."

During the PaleyFest, it was also revealed that Matt Bomer and Cheyenne Jackson would co-star in the upcoming season of the series. Murphy also confirmed that Wes Bentley from "Freak Show" would be returning for "Hotel" as a series regular instead of being a guest star.

A link to a Tumblr post gives some insight on what "Hotel" might be about. According to the source, Lady Gaga's character would be a woman in debt and runs a hotel. She will do anything to keep the business going despite all of the horrors that occur within the premises of her establishment. The source also indicates that "Hotel" will step away from the supernatural and instead focus on Satanic cults and secret societies. This was the same suggestion posted by Game N Guide.

The source also hints that while Lange will no longer be series regular, she may still portray a small part in season 5 as an older version of Lady Gaga's character, perhaps as the former manager of the hotel.
