Michael Fassbender will be reprising his role as the android David in the upcoming science-fiction/horror film "Alien: Covenant," the sequel to "Prometheus" and a prequel to the 1979 film "Alien." Speaking to the Philippine Daily Inquirier, the actor teased several aspects of the film, including the possible appearance of the iconic xenomorph alien.

"There are going to be great sets and aliens coming out of people," Fassbender teased. "It's a fantastic mixture of high-end technology and primitive elements. The way that I can explain it is the same way that Ridley did 'Blade Runner.'"

Of the actor's statements many fans have pointed out that he had mentioned the iconic image of an alien bursting out of a person. This has been shown in all of the "Alien" films thus far and is a big hint that the Xenomorph will be making an appearance in the film.

A previous report revealed that a new xenomorph design may be used for the movie, indicating that it might be of a different breed or may have come from a different host. "Aliens," the 1986 sequel to the original film, established the notion that these aliens worked as a hive mind and there may be different kinds of xenomorphs for different purposes.

Fassbender also explained that the sets used for the film are the most impressive he has seen in his career other than those used in "Prometheus." The actor also praised director Ridley Scott for his ability to work on a film with such a massive scale and so many moving parts.

"Alien: Covenant" is set several years after the ending of "Prometheus" and only Fassbender's character David remains. It is undetermined what happened to Dr. Shaw (Noomi Rapace) in the time between the films as the synopsis for the new film confirms the introduction of a new ship with a new crew of Weyland-Yutani employees.

"Alien: Covenant" opens in theaters on Aug. 4, 2017.

If you look at the Church of England’s communications all that it ever seems to highlight is the good works that Christians do to improve the temporal well-being of their neighbours. It is right to highlight these things, but they are not the primary reason for the Church’s existence.
