The Milan Derby will open the China leg of the International Champions Cup as Inter Milan and AC Milan add another chapter in their storied rivalry Saturday at the Shenzen City Stadium.

Milan did capture a better record in their pre-season matches than Inter's, winning four of their five games while Nerazzurri had three wins against two losses.

Rossoneri opened their pre-season with 5-1 victories over Eccellenza sides Alcione and Legnano and despite their splendid work on offense, had struggled with their defense early on in both matches.

In a report by Bleacher Report, Milan handed the lead to both clubs in those matches within the first 10 minutes before taking control.

Milan also scored wins over Torino (3-1) and Atalanta (3-0), with the only loss they suffered against Olympique Lyonnais.

Lyons prevented a draw with the score tied at 1-1 after its forward Alexandre Lacazette netted a goal late in the second half to walk away with the victory.

Meanwhile, Inter faced tougher competition during their pre-season run, opening it with a friendly against Stuttgarter Kickers, whom they defeated 4-3.

After that, Nerazzurri faced Carpi and again took home the win 4-2 scoring a total of eight goals in two matches.

Inter then took on perhaps the most daunting challenge they had in the pre-season against Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich losing 1-0 in their friendly.

They secured one more victory against Empoli 4-3 but also lost to Genoa 3-2.

The biggest story of interest in the matchup will be defender/midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia's performance since he was pursued by both clubs before signing with Inter.

According to Bleacher Report, Milan was close to signing the 22-year-old French national but everything fell apart and he ended up being with Inter.

Kondogbia shared in recent statements that a talk with Inter Milan manager Roberto Mancini led him to joining the club.

The match between AC Milan and Inter Milan will take place on July 25 at 8:00 a.m. EST and will be shown on Fox Sports 1.
