In the next episode of "Van Helsing," Sheriff Walt Turner's (Tom McBeath) sanctuary of cops is threatened by the Sisterhood made up of vicious vampires.

The synopsis and trailer for the upcoming installment titled "Wakey Wakey" were released just recently and they show one of Turner's deputies telling Scarlett Harker (Missy Peregrym), Axel Miller (Jonathan Scarfe), Julius (Aleks Paunovic) and Doc (Rukiya Bernard) about a place where they all can hide from the approaching Sisterhood.

Apparently, these female vampires are very strong and more powerful than the usual breed of creatures. They wear black attire with hoods, and are covered with white make-up on their faces. The survivors load up their guns and appear trapped in the sanctuary. However, they are prepared to make a run for the forest to escape the relentless vampires.

They manage to survive the night and make it out of the police sanctuary. Harker and Miller stroll carefully through the forest when they are suddenly ambushed by the Sisterhood. One of the vampires throws an axe toward Miller who blocks it with his rifle. The axe hits the weapon and gets embedded in it as Miller is taken aback. Harker soon realizes that the Sisterhood cannot approach them because they happen to be standing on hallowed ground. The vampires therefore can only stand outside the area and wait until the survivors leave the sacred ground.

In the last episode, Turner and his cops were about to execute Harker and her group on the rooftop when the Sisterhood arrived all of a sudden. They heard the horrific cries of the vampires and stopped the execution. Harker then told the cops that if they let them go, they would help fight the oncoming horde.

"Van Helsing" season 2 episode 9 will air on Thursday, Dec. 7, at 9 p.m. EST on Syfy.
