'The Flash' season 2 spoilers: Caitlin, Cisco to become supers after season 1 finale

"The Flash" season 1 is a crazy ride about to make an electrifying stop with its final episode. As fans get all geared up for its action-filled season finale, they are also looking at the things that could happen beyond the Reverse Flash's malevolence.

Throughout the season, which had many shocking twists and turns, Barry as The Flash was not the only one in the spotlight. Now, there is great excitement about the possible super-powered future of the Scarlet Speedster's trusty allies.

Caitlin Snow, for one, is destined in the comic books to take on a superhero identity named Killer Frost. Needless to say, the villainess is inclined to sentencing her victims into a frosty death. It's hard to imagine Caitlin slipping into the role as she, for one, has always been on the good side. However, the brilliant STAR Labs scientist will succumb to her fate at some point in the series.

Actress Danielle Panabaker herself revealed via a Reddit AMA that Caitlin Snow will don the cool Killer Frost costume she was always ordained to wear and that she is ecstatic for that moment to come.

"Yes, from the beginning I knew that Caitlin Snow becomes Killer Frost," the "Sky High" actress revealed. "And I can't wait to suit up and duke it out with the boys!"

In response to another fan question, she invited viewers to watch the season 1 finale of "The Flash" to get to know more about Caitlin's superhero identity and added that a Killer Frost costume has already been made.

On the other hand, Carlos Valdes, who plays Cisco Ramon in the series, revealed that the season 1 finale of the show will also touch on his transition to his character's superhero alter ego known as Vibe, who can switch to different timelines and dimensions with ease.

"I can tease that fans can expect some big questions about the Vibe mythology to be answered in the next episode, the season finale here," the actor told Comicbook.com.

"The Flash" season 1 finale titled "Fast Enough" will air on May 19. Panabaker added that the filming for season 2 will start on July 7.
