Game developer Bethesda hurriedly released Patch 1.2 beta for "The Elder Scrolls: 5 Skyrim Special Edition" PC version. This is a day after releasing Patch 1.1 that created more problems rather than solve them.
The studio has announced on its Steam page that the latest update is now available, and it brings in several fixes for issues that were brought by the previous patch. The latest patch contains performance and game stability improvements, a fix for the alt-tab related issue while playing the game, and a fix for water flow rendering. It also provides a fix for crashes related to players changing from werewolf to human form, as well as a fix for crashes brought about by altering the Load Order of mods. Improvements for browsing Mods were also included.
Game fans on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will also receive a patch but on a later date. Another announcement will be made once the work is done.
Fans flocked to the game's forums on Steam, Reddit, Twitter, and Bethesda Support the other day, complaining about the same things that involved game crashes and water flow animation, among others. This was after releasing Patch 1.1, which was intended to correct the audio issue that plagued the game from the time it was made available two weeks ago.
It is suggested that if the previous patch is not creating any problems at all, players should stick with that. If the game is not stable, Patch 1.2 beta is available by accessing the Skyrim SE entry in the Steam library. Players should then go to the Betas tab and then choose Beta from the drop-down menu. A confirmation box will appear to confirm the download. Simply wait until the game is updated. The game's name will appear as "Skyrim Special Edition (Beta)" in the game library if the update is successful.
"The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition" is still the same open world, action role-playing game that was released back in 2011. Aside from improved graphics, the special edition comes with the game world map, a 200-page concept art book, a 12-inch figurine of Alduin, and a DVD that contains a documentary about the making of the game.
