Last week on "The Bold and the Beautiful," Ridge went to see his doctor and told him that he wanted to reverse his vasectomy—he really wanted to have a baby with Caroline. The doctor told him that he can do that, but he wanted Ridge to do a fertility test first. After the test, the doctor said that he can't have the operation because the test results showed that his sperm has low motility.
At Forrester Creations, Caroline told Brooke that Ridge had a surprise for her, and Brooke told her to stop guessing or she'd spoil it. Caroline noted that it was a bit weird to talk to Brooke about Ridge, but Brooke said that she understood her; as Ridge's ex-wife, she knew how it felt to want Ridge to be the father of her children.
Later, Ridge told Brooke about the test results and said that he didn't know how to tell Caroline that he can't give her children. Brooke said that he had to be honest with her. As Brooke kept on pressuring Ridge to talk to Caroline, he got frustrated and told her to back off just as Caroline entered his office. Ridge told Caroline that he saw a doctor and began to explain, but she cut him off and said that she couldn't wait to start a family with him.
Caroline went to see her doctor to ask about vitamins as she prepares to have a baby. But after a blood test, she got the shock of her life when the doctor told her that she's pregnant. Caroline is confused who the father is—could it be Ridge, or Thomas? The doctor said that it's too early to take a paternity test and questioned her about getting her period after she slept with Thomas. The doctor told her that it's possible that Ridge is the father.
At home, Ridge told her all about the vasectomy and how he learned that he can't give her children. Caroline looked worried as she realized that Thomas is the father of her baby.
