Peter Molyneux the creator of "The Trail: Frontier Challenge," alongside his game development company, 22Cans, announced that they will release a Nintendo Switch port for the hiking simulation and adventure game.

GameSpot reported that the game is now available on Nintendo's Eshop in Europe. Moreover, the Switch version of "The Trail: Frontier Challenge" will release on March 6 for North and South America.

The hiking simulation and adventure game allows players to set out on an adventure across an undiscovered country. Players will have to choose from five professions — lumberjack, hunter, cook, tailor and explorer — in which they have to earn enough skill points and level up to become a Master. Customization is also a feature of the game as players can choose from a selection of outfits and clothing items to personalize their characters. Players are tasked to race, collect and complete a myriad of enjoyable challenges while learning how to craft valuable items and amassing a fortune. Furthermore, players must fill their respective backpacks but must be aware that those who take too many items end up collapsing and losing valuable items.

"The Trail: Frontier Challenge" is also a community-building simulation game. Players can either join other players or form their own communities in the town of Eden Falls. Players will be able to create their dream house with a variety of furnishings to choose from, upgrading it every now and then to become the envy of all their neighbors. To make sure that the players' characters will not feel lonely, players can get them pet dogs to accompany them in their daily tasks. In addition, players can trade and share with other players to expand the town.

The Nintendo Switch version of "The Trail: Frontier Challenge" will retail at $14.99.
