'Legend of Korra' season 4 episode 5: Korra returns, Kuvira plans to take over Zaofu in 'Enemy at the Gates'

Legend of Korra Nickelodeon

The Nick animated television series "The Legend of Korra" is now on its fourth and final season yet anarchy in Zaofu has only reached its maximum. But that could shift dramatically as viewers are not halfway through the fourth book "Balance" just yet, and turnarounds are still sure to arrive in due course. Creators Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko have that all worked out for certain.

In the meantime, the previous episode, "The Calling," was a bit of a tearjerker. However, it bore the comeback of the well-loved heroine Korra and that's always a good reason to smile. Viewers have finally seen the Avatar fighting off the poison and letting go of her fears.

However, the joy will be cut short in the upcoming episode. Kuvira and her greed issues bring an impending danger right in the flesh. In a short but packed synopsis up on the Nick website, "The Legend of Korra: Enemy at the Gates: Arrival of the Great Uniter" only spells trouble.

The synopsis reads: "Kuvira reaches her former hometown of Zaofu. This is no happy reunion, though: she's brought along her army."

But with Korra back (and very timely, indeed) in the Avatar State (thanks to Toph's powerful compelling), Kuvira might not be up to snuff. The young airbenders are one in stopping the Great Uniter's plan to take over the only place that's free of her iniquity so viewers can expect a major clash in the fifth episode. That's set.

On the other hand, viewers hope that the Toph they love so much will get out of the swamp already. That is possible, but as the creators admitted, she needs a compelling reason to do so.

Fans can watch the new episode on nick.com on Oct. 31. Other ways to view the episode is on the Nick app for Android and iOS. Viewers can also buy the episode from iTunes, Xbox Video, Google Play and Amazon Instant.
