Animated films are fun for kids and adults alike, and they sometimes could mess around with one's head by using teasers and puzzles that could go unnoticed. The trailer for "The Boss Baby" is no exception to that.

The two-minute trailer showed the potential hilarity of the movie, yet it could also be priming the audience for what was and what will be. In the scene where Tim sneaks into the baby's room, he is seen talking over the phone, and when viewers zoom in, he can be seen using the chatter telephone from the "Toy Story" movie. Could this be a way to whet the appetite of viewers for a movie after it?

Despite "The Boss Baby" being a property of DreamWorks while the Toy Story franchise is with Pixar, it is undeniable that the trailer connects the two together. It seems weird for a movie to discretely promote another animated film from a different company, but how this pans out is something the audience will have to watch out for. It can signal a collaboration in the future, but that is pure speculation as of this time.

This isn't the first time that animated films have easter eggs painted all over them, though. M Magazine has compiled some of the shocking hidden clues, starting from Margo in "Despicable Me" wearing a t-shirt showing a character from "The Lorax," which came out two years after. Another is a scene in "Road to El Dorado" where the high priest flips through a book containing a hieroglyphics representation of DreamWorks' logo.

According to a previous interview with the Hollywood Reporter, "The Boss Baby" talks about how a family adjusts to the addition of a new family member, which in this case is a little boy wearing a suit. Tim, originally the only kid in the house, discovers the new baby is able to talk like an adult. Against all odds, the two must settle their differences in order to save their parents and stop an evil villain who plots to destabilize the balance of love in the world.

The cast consists of Jimmy Kimmel (Father), Lisa Kudrow (Mother), Miles Christopher Bakshi (Tim), Alec Baldwin (Baby), Steve Buscemi (Francis E. Francis) and Tobey Maguire (Narrator), according to IMDb.

"The Boss Baby" will be arriving in theaters on March 31, 2017.
