It was recently confirmed that "Tekken 7" will be coming to the PS4. According to the PlayStation blog, the game will be running on Unreal Engine 4 for the very first time with intricately detailed characters and dynamic, reactive environments.

PC Advisor reports that the Unreal Engine 4 is also the engine used to develop virtual reality games, and it is possible that the upcoming game may also have a VR element.

Game Director Katsuhiro Harada was at the PlayStation event at Paris Games Week last month to talk about "Tekken 7" and to announce that the game was going to be available for the PlayStation 4, to the delight of the audience.

"Fans can look forward to a dramatic and over-the-top progression of the storyline," said Harada about the seventh installment of the game. Harada added that when the game makes the leap from arcades to console, it will be the most complete and enhanced version of the game to date. He also teased that there will be new content in the game that will surely please avid gamers.

According to PC Advisor, Bandai Namco Community manager Gaetan Gireme said that fans of the game can expect to see new fighters along with classic fighters in "Tekken 7."

"In addition to these great graphics, as demonstrated in this awesome announcement trailer, many new characters will join the fight," Gireme said at Paris Games Week.

Earlier this year, the arcade version of the game was released in Japan, and over the recent months, "Tekken 7" has made its way to other countries such as New Zealand. Attack of the Fanboy reviewed the game earlier this month, saying the new levels "look impressive" and that graphics have greatly improved.

It was also reported that the arcade mode has five stages, where each stage requires a player to win two rounds. In the fifth and fourth stages, a gamer has to face off against Heihachi Mishima and Kazumi Mishima respectively. Kazumi is one of the latest additions to the game, and she is said to be the wife of Heihachi and the mother of Kazuya.

"Tekken 7" is slated for release for the PlayStation 4 in 2016.
