"Teen Mom OG" is gearing up for its new season on MTV and the show will continue to follow the lives of Amber Portwood, Catelynn Lowell, Maci Bookout and Farrah Abraham as they balance motherhood with their jobs and relationships.

Ahead of the new season premiere, Portwood spoke to OK! magazine and confirmed that she and her former fiancé, Gary Shirley, have agreed to share 50/50 custody of their 7-year-old daughter Leah after fighting about it for years.

"I'm very happy that Gary and I are going to share joint custody of Leah," said the 25-year-old to the magazine, as quoted by Radar Online.

The reality star added that she has been waiting for this for a long time.

Portwood also said that she and Shirley spent some time to talk about what's best for their daughter before coming up with a solution that would make everyone happy.

"We talked for 30 minutes and I said, 'This is not healthy for any of us, this is not healthy for Leah, let's just be adults and do this,' she said.

It looks like the two have peacefully reached an agreement after feuding about their daughter for a long time.

In a new promo for the upcoming season of the MTV show, Portwood gets a call from Shirley, who tells her that Leah does not want to come over to her house.

In the clip, Portwood tells her fiancé Matt Baier that she is so confused about her daughter's behavior, and Matt agrees, saying he has never seen Leah act like that.

Later, Portwood says that she hopes that Shirely has not been brainwashing Leah because she mentioned something about fighting for custody.

In the interview with OK! Portwood admitted that she and Gary fought earlier this year when she claimed that he convinced their daughter not to visit her.

"We have a great relationship, and then all of a sudden she didn't want to come over," Portwood explained, adding that Leah never said that before. "I said something to Gary, and she hasn't been that way since. We're back to normal."

"Teen Mom OG" returns on Jan. 4 at 10 p.m. on MTV.
