'Super Smash Bros. 4' DLC: Cloud Strife arriving later this month

Super Smash Bros. 4 - Cloud Nintendo

"Super Smash Bros. 4" is about to get bigger with Cloud Strife from the RPG favorite "Final Fantasy 7" joining the fold. According to reports, his arrival will take place before December wraps up but info on a specific release date is just hard to pin down.

Nintendo keeps its lips tight about this aspect but is expected to make the announcement soon. The company will reportedly hold an event this month as a tribute to its devoted fans, and media outlets believe that by the end of this affair, Cloud Strife's date of availability will finally be known to everyone.

Last month, the Japanese gaming company showed a trailer that confirmed Cloud Strife's future inclusion in the game but it hasn't talked about the "Final Fantasy 7" protagonist's entrance to "Super Smash Bros. 4" ever since.

There were also expectations that new details will come out of this year's Game Awards as Nintendo reportedly likes to announce new stuff there as well. But the event has come and gone and a release date for Cloud Strife's "Super Smash Bros. 4" DLC is still a mystery.

Meanwhile, the said trailer demonstrated Cloud Strife's impressive moves as he singlehandedly took down various fighters in different locations. With his ever so reliable Broadsword, the iconic character battled each and every character in the roster, proving his strength and stellar fighting abilities.

But truth be told, gamers did not see the addition of the spiky-haired mercenary in the world of "Super Smash Bros. 4" coming, but considering how Nintendo can add various personalities from other titles, it was just as likely.

Also, gamers are not one to complain as the character is expected to be a great and strong fighter in the battlefield. Many believe that Cloud Strife fits in just right in the universe and should acquaint as easily as "Street Fighter" Ryu, who was also added to the game months back.

This also provides greater diversity to the game. With more beloved characters gracing the "Super Smash Bros. 4," fans of these respective franchises would most likely want to know how their favorite characters look in a different setting.
