The second season of Star Wars Rebels will premiere on June 20, 2015, 9PM ET on Disney XD. Fans will be treated to new characters, weapons and Jedi training as it picks off from the first season.
In the second season, Tarkin will see the help of Darth Vader to catch the rebels as they try to check the damage that the group has been causing.
Fans can expect classic duels involving Darth Vader. In the premier, he is expected to face off against Jedi Ezra and Kanan. It is believed that Vader may hold back in the initial battle, the reason to which should be a puzzle for viewers will have to ponder on.
Aside from that, Darth Vader is expected to wreak havoc on Tarkintown as he tries to flush out the rebels. It will apparently be here where Ezra and Kanan will figure out the strength of the dark side which may pretty much signal the end of the operations on Lothal.
Another scene that fans should look forward to seeing is the face-off between Ahsoka and Darth Vader. The conflict will start when Ahsoka reacts violently to Darth Vader's presence.
Ahsoka made an appearance as a teenager in Star Wars: The Clone Wars and served as Anakin Skywalker's apprentice. Ahsoka left the Jedi Order after being framed for murder and placed on trial after five seasons.
So does this mean that Ahsoka will become a regular main cast member?
Well according to executive producer Dave Filoni she will not. Ahsoka will remain in the mystery role for the series and will make occasional appearances.
Again, mark the date. Star Wars Rebels Season 2 will premiere on June 20, 2015 at 9 PM via Disney XD with the pilot one-hour episode "The Siege of Lothal".
