"Soul Surfer" Bethany Hamilton has finally given birth to her and husband Adam Dirk's baby boy Tobias!

The Christian athlete shared this announcement on her Facebook page by posting a new family photo with the caption: "Blessed to welcome our son, Tobias, into the world. Born June 1st, 7.9 lbs. and 21" long. He is named after his great grandpa Tobias meaning 'The goodness of God.' Adam and I so in love with our lil guy and are stoked to share life with him!"

Hamilton's fans are so thrilled that she has given birth already, and sent their warm greetings of congratulations by commenting on the photo.

"God is so good and truly blessed you with a beautiful child!!" someone wrote.

Another fan commented: "You are a beautiful woman whose heart and mind are set on Jesus. You have overcome so much by His strength. You truly are a living testimony of God's grace, provision, and strength. May this new season of learning motherhood only fortify those things that He has taught you."

During the first few months of her pregnancy, Hamilton was an active surfer who spent much of her time on the waves. In fact, she shared on her Instagram account (@bethanyhamilton) several photos of herself in action.

In one photo, Hamilton is seen conquering the waves and she gave it the caption: "Jr and I surfing at 6 3/4 months! He loves it already, I know."

As she headed towards the final trimester of her pregnancy, however, Hamilton decided to concentrate on her pregnancy and quit surfing "for a while." For her exercise, she opted to just swim instead.

"Swimming is my favourite exercise late in my pregnancy. It feels so good to get in the water and feel weightless and move my body with complete ease. I'll always aim to live healthy for me and for my family," she shared.
