"Skyrim Special Edition" first tickled the nostalgia of fans who used to play the original game back when it was released years ago. However, the remastered version of the game had some audio problems, which Bethesda promptly fixed with a patch. Unfortunately, the patch has led to more technical issues, which includes crashing and freezing for the game.

According to Game Rant, "Skyrim Special Edition" has mainly received a positive audience response despite the fact that the game had some issues. This includes the audio quality problems that made the game's sound less clearer when on the PC or the Xbox One.

Bethesda, in its effort to address the problem, released a patch fix for the issue, but players are now reporting that the patch has introduced new problems to them.

The source of the problem is the PC patch 1.1 and patch 1.03 for console platforms. The biggest problem reported when the patch was applied was that, regardless of whether or not the game has been modded, the game crashes when trying to load a save file.

Also, the patch that was supposed to fix missing NPCs as well as those that show up in wrong places led to even more problems. Some of these include frame rate issues, texturing problems, and quest bugs.

A lot of PC players praised Bethesda's swift actions when addressing the bugs, but now they are concerned as the company has a new review policy, which garnered some controversy. Bethesda has announced that it will no longer make review copies available to media outlets until a day has passed since the launch date of their titles.

Regardless, according to Game N Guide, the new patch 1.2 beta is just an exclusive for PC users. The update can be accessed on Steam by using the properties menu and selecting the Beta option from the drop-down menu.
