Samsung has made the headlines with its recently released Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge Plus; now, rumor has it that the tech giant is planning on a Galaxy S7 project.

As usual, news on a Galaxy S7 would be mere speculations until Samsung makes the formal announcement.

Meanwhile, insiders for galaxys6samsung.com have provided details on the possible strategy the company will adopt and based on the predictions, S7 will most likely become available in early 2016.

Sources also revealed that Apple's plan on a possible iPhone 7 release will trump S6, so Samsung is expected to work harder to bring in more unique specifications and features to their upcoming phone.

For the specs, S7 is rumored to have a 4 GB RAM, a capacity comparable to laptops. If this is so, a lot of gadget lovers will be excited as a device with such computing memory capacity would bring so many advantages.

It was also reported that S7 will run on a 64-bit Exynos processor, which would make it the first Android phone to use such.

As for the speed, the device is reported to have a 3.5 GHz power, definitely a speedy phone anyone would love to have.

S7 will also reportedly have an internal storage capacity of 128 GB, with the possibility of going higher; since S6 already carries the same capacity and an S7 is expected to be superior to S6.

The upcoming device is said to have a 30-megapixel camera and a 4K, 5.5-inch Amoled display; it will also reportedly come waterproof.

According to reports, the smartphone will also feature an infrared sensor capable of measuring a person's body temperature.

Meanwhile, the most interesting news about Galaxy S7 is the possibility that it could be the first phone to have a holographic display.

According to Pocketlint, Samsung applied for a patent for a smartphone that can project images holographically.

As expected, applying for a  patent doesn't necessarily mean that Samsung will pursue the design; but it does signify that Samsung is considering the possibility and such speculation is big enough to get everyone excited.
