After Samsung released their newest flagships, the Galaxy S6 Edge+ smartphone and the Galaxy Note 5, back in August, the South Korean mobile phone and consumer device manufacturer is being said to be already preparing for another big launch happening next year.

Korean website EToday recently revealed that Samsung will be releasing two new variants of their next-generation Galaxy S7 flagship in January 2016. They will reportedly be shipped out to retail stores beginning in February. One of the upcoming devices will come with a flat display, while the other will have a dual-edge curved touchscreen display, reports have said..

According to SamMobile, one of the soon-to-be released Galaxy S7 variants will run on the latest Exynos 8890 processor, while the other will be equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset.

Other rumors claimed that the upcoming Samsung flagship devices will feature QHD display with 2560 x 1440p resolution, a bigger 4-GB RAM with 64 GB of built-in memory, a 16-MP primary shooter that features Optical Image Stabilisation, and a 5-MP front snapper. The device is also expected to come with the recently released Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

PhoneArena, meanwhile, reported that the Samsung Galaxy S7 will feature the brandnew Folding Flexible OLED touchscreen. The report stemmed from information posed from a Weibo account that has "leaked quite a few important things already."

Samsung has yet to release a statement regarding the relase of the device.
