'Red Dead Redemption 2' update: Title to be called Legends of the West?

Red Dead Redemption came out five years ago, a second title from the Red Dead franchise. The game is one of the most popular games that has a following which most gamers believe is due for another installment.

Rockstar Games is also responsible for the recently released GTA V Online Heists and there is word that a toss-up between GTA 6 and Red Dead Redemption 2 could follow anytime this year. On which of the two would gain headway remains a mystery for now.

But a curious post made through Reddit by a certain AnonDN1978 has once again opened a can of hope, claiming that Red Dead Redemption 2 could come out. What makes it more interesting is that the user went as far as revealing the possible game title – Red Dead Redemption 2: Legends of the West.

The user reportedly revealed the title because he hates his boss and that he was in fact the one behind the development of the said game. Rockstar Games has yet to confirm nor deny this claim though they are said to be elated at the excitement and interest for the said game.

The thing is, Rockstar Games is in no rush to make a new Red Dead game. And in the event that they do, Red Dead gamers may as well look at 2016 as the possible release date. This could happen at the E3 Conference next year.

So while the company did claim they were not in a rush, this doesn't necessary quash the hopes of a long-awaited version. For now, it all boils down to the waiting game as far as Red Dead Redemption 2 is concerned.

For those who are unfamiliar, Red Dead Redemption is an open-world western action role-playing game set at the decline of the American Frontier (1911). It follows the story of John Marston, a former outlaw whose family is taken hostage by the government for his services as a bounty hunter.
