Dataminers have discovered some big surprises hidden underneath the surface of "Pokemon Go's" latest update: 3D models of two of unreleased Pokemon. The assets belong to two of players' most awaited monsters, Ho-Oh and Celebi.

ZeChrales, the Pokemon GO dataminer who made the interesting discovery, said that the models are now available on Niantic's servers. But, that's not all; a shiny variation of Ho-Oh has also been found.

Ho-Oh is the remaining Legendary Pokemon from the first two generations of Pokemon games that still has not appeared in the game. Celebi, on the other hand, is a Mythical Pokemon who was not accessible through regular gameplay in Pokemon Gold and Silver.

It remains to be determined how players can unlock these creatures and when they will arrive at the game. However, Forbes predicts that Ho-Oh may be a part of the upcoming "Pokemon Go" Thanksgiving 2017 event, which would be in a few weeks.

The Pokemon recently had its CP values and stats nerfed, which is what happened to Mewtwo a day before its release. Niantic has also revealed previously that more Gen 3 will be released this Christmas, suggesting it would finish releasing Gen 1 and 2 Legendaries before the new batch rolls out.

Celebi may show up as well, but the publication thinks the developer is saving the Pokemon for a Mythic event with Mew. Then again, this is just a speculation. Last year's event that took place around Thanksgiving only offered trainers small bonuses like double XP and Stardust, so there is a chance the same would happen this year.

Apart from Celebi and Ho-Oh, Delibird and Smeargle have also yet to make their way to "Pokemon Go." Niantic already released the Legendary birds Lugia, Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres, as well as Raikou, Entei, and Suicune this past year via Raid Battles. Mewtwo was also made catchable via EX Raid Battles.
