"Persona 5" fans, your long wait is over (or not). A Sony advertisement, as reported by VideoGamer, printed the release dates of highly anticipated games such as "Hitman", "Tom Clancy's The Division", "Hitman", "Just Cause 3", and "Mirror's Edge: Catalyst". Not only that, it also included "Persona 5's" release date which is slated next year. For Europe, it will be announced soon.

So yes, it may somehow contradict to the previous reports that the beloved RPG game is up for release this year. It looks like we all need to have more "patience" for now.

Other reports also mentioned that the release may likely happen between October and December in reference to Sega Sammy's financial report. But yes, it has been confirmed that "Persona 5" release will be delayed.

On a happier note, "Persona 5" just recently released its trailer confirming of new weapons and new gameplay modes.

In a report from Crossmap, the game added new modes such as Cooperation (player can connect to social links and create relationships with the non-playable characters) and Sneak (player is able to evade elements while in the dungeon).

The "Persona 3" gameplay mode – the All-Out-Attack- has been reported to return to "Persona 5" which allows players to combine attacks when the enemy is knocked down.

New weapons have been also reported in the upcoming game – Phantom (the main character) will wield knives and pistols. Ryuji Sakamoto will use bludgeoning weapons and shotguns. Anne Takamaki (Phantom's classmate) likes to use machine guns and whips. And Morgana (the cat and shapeshifter) will use slingshots and swords.

According to Megamitensei Wiki, the characters are now able to use both ranged and melee weapons.

"Persona 5" follows a student who recently transferred to Shujin High School in Tokyo. There, he meets new friends where they go on epic adventures (and battles).
