Viz Media has been quiet for the past few months regarding the status of the hit anime series "One Punch Man." The show, featuring the protagonist Saitama, has taken the world by storm ever since the premiere of its first season.

There were only tidbits of information in connection with "One Punch Man" season 2 that were made available, and the fans are hoping to see the first official trailer of the anime very soon. As reported by Comic Book, there is a chance that the big revelation will happen in the heart of Japan this August as the Anime Japan expo comes to Tokyo City. To recall, the anime show also appeared in the past Anime Japan expo to promote the first season.

For this year, it is likely that the "One Punch Man" creators will reveal the new storyline for season 2, as well as the new heroes and anti-heroes that will join Saitama.

The Anime Japan 2018 expo in August coincides with the reported "One Punch Man" anime event in the series' social media pages. It was teased that the said event will happen on August 12, thus increasing the likelihood of a major announcement this summer. The expo is being called the "One Punch Man: Maji Gakuensai," and the fans believe that the first trailer of season 2 will be flashed during the gathering.

In other news, it was confirmed that the voice actor who will give life to the "One Punch Man" season 2 villain, Garou, will be none other than Hikaru Midorikawa. In the manga version, Garou is known as a skilled hero hunter who has taken a liking to monsters. While he is originally good-hearted, he has a twisted perception about the importance of heroes in the world, which will pit Garou against Saitama in the course of the series.

Midorikawa is also known for his portrayal of Softon in "Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo," Tamahome in "Fushigi Yugi," Seiran Shi in "Saiunkoku Monogatari," Zelgadis Greywords in "Slayers," and Marth from the "Fire Emblem" series.
