The Limited Edition of the game will come with several bonuses. Players will get a limited edition poster of Bryant, two custom Panini playing cards with Bryant and a special Black Mamba game controller skin. In regards to the release date, Day Herald reports that the games have been released with a fairly regular pattern and it is now speculated that the upcoming "NBA 2K17" will launch this coming September. The report also states that it is likely the game will launch specifically on Tuesday, Sept. 27. The most recent game, "NBA 2K16," released on Tuesday, Sept. 29 and it is likely the follow-up will adhere to this patern.

Amazon lists the game for a Dec. 30 release but this is a placeholder until a real release date has been announced. It is speculated that the proper release date will be announced to the public at the same time the cover star for the standard edition is revealed, during the upcoming June event.
