The next episode of ABC's "Modern Family," titled "Winner Winner Turkey Dinner," will see Claire Dunphy (Julie Bowen) winning a marathon and the family Thanksgiving celebration.

Claire will join a marathon, as seen on promotional photos released for the next episode of "Modern Family" season 9. But, what is noticeable is Alex's (Ariel Winter) reaction when her mom decided to push through with the marathon. While Gloria Pritchett (Sofia Vergara) showed her support for Claire, constantly cheering her up during the marathon, Alex was notably less than reactive.

After Claire crossed the line, she, Gloria, and Alex went home. Gloria continued to feel proud for Claire, though Alex's behavior seemed to reflect the opposite. When Claire tried to confront Alex, the latter did not say a word. Instead, she just stared at her mother. Fans would have to wait for the next episode to know the reason why Alex acted this way.

The synopsis for episode 2 teased that everyone had been successful in their own ventures, which will prompt Jay (Ed O'Neill) to praise and acknowledge the successes in a Thanksgiving toast. Little did he know that his family members had been hiding the truth behind these successes. Meanwhile, Phil (Ty Burell) tries his best to be successful by practicing his classic magic tricks to avoid being dubbed as a "family failure."

As such, the upcoming episode of  "Modern Family" will likely focus on Thanksgiving, which is a perfect time for the family to reflect on their life choices, as teased by the synopsis. In the previous episode, titled "Ten Year Anniversary," viewers saw Claire taking over the preparation for Jay and Gloria's wedding anniversary celebration.

"Modern Family" season 9 episode 7 will air on Wednesday, Nov. 15, at 10 p.m. EST on ABC.
